My name is Margreet.
I live in the Netherlands (aka Holland) and love to share parts of my life with you.
I have a job which keeps me busy for four days a week. The other three days of the week I use for my creative hobbies.
OK, where to start…
Vanna
Let me tell you about my Etsy shop Vanna. I started out in 2007, at first I only sold my bags on craft fairs and markets. Later I discovered Etsy and opened a shop. But is wasn’t until last year I really started filling my Etsy shop with items.
I create bags (large and small) from reused materials like old leather coats, sails and just about everything I can turn into a bag. I like to call it Upcycling. Turning something of no value, waist, into something new and useful.
As it takes quite a large amount of time to make a bag and with limited time I am not a big producer. But every now and then I am able to add a new listing.
Cooking
One of my other hobbies is cooking. I have cooked for many years for my family, my husband and our three sons. Nowadays I live alone and so most of the time I just have to cook for myself.
So being an empty nester I discovered that it is really not that easy to cook for one person. Most of the recipes are meant for two or four. Sometimes that is not a problem just divide the amounts by four, but it gets harder when the recipe calls for one egg or 1 tablespoon of something.
Slowly I am adjusting to cooking for one. On this blog I will keep you posted about my progress.
Photography
And my third hobby is taking pictures. I take pictures of my bags and of the food I cook. But I also take a camera to work.
My work takes me to all parts of our little country. Form the north to the south and also east and west. Whenever I can I take some pics of the city or town I visit, but often I just go to some industrial area and back to the highway with nothing interesting to see.
But sometimes you just get a great opportunity for a photo, like this one I took while waiting for the garage to change my tires.
Traveler
Next to real travels I am also an enthusiastic traveler in the online world and I like to share some of my findings in the world with you. For fun and inspiration.
